The first pineapple to be raised in England was grown at Dorney Court and presented to Charles II in 1661. Built in 1440, the present family has lived in Dorney Court for over 400 years. The rooms are awash 15th & 16th century oak and 17th century lacquer furniture. The adjacent 13th century St. James church, with a Norman front and Tudor tower, can also be visited.
Dorney Lake is a world-class rowing and flat-water canoeing centre in a spectacular 400 acre parkland.
